January 2020 / 85 PBE AROUND THE INDUSTRY SUPPLIER NOTES Vac-U-Max announces company anniversary, president's successor Vac-U-Max, Belleville, NJ, a bulk material handling and industrial cleaning systems supplier, has announced that the company is celebrating 65 years in operation in 2019. Along with this milestone, the company is celebrating its cur- rent president's 50-year tenure and the appointing of a new president as of November 1, 2019. Founded in 1954 by Frank Pend- leton, the company was the first to design a compressed-air industrial vacuum cleaner and introduce vacuum-generated venturi power units with patented noise suppres- sion for vacuum conveying more than 10,000 types of powders and granular bulk materials. Last year marked the 50-year tenure of Steve Pendleton, who served in various positions within the company from 1969 to the pres- ent, including serving as company president. The company celebrated the anniversary with a catered lun- cheon and cake, where Steve Pend- leton announced his retirement and successor, Doan Pendleton. Doan Pendleton, the son of Steve Pendleton, will continue to create, communicate, and imple- ment the company's vision, mis- sion, and overall direction within the company's philosophies, expectations, and guidelines. He has decades of experience and a proven track record of custom- er-centric vision. Steve Pendleton will continue with the company as chairman of the board. Magnum Systems announces new address Magnum Systems has announced that the company's new address is 7945 Flint Street, Lenexa, KS 66214. The company is a manufacturer of dry bulk material handling, pneu- matic conveying, and packaging systems and automation solutions. Eriez announces major expansion near corporate headquarters Eriez, Erie, PA, has announced that it will be undertaking a major expansion at its Wager Road facility, located 15 miles from the company's world headquarters. The expansion will support the company's initia- tives for repair, testing, and global research and development activities. The Wager Road facility opened in 2012 with 114,000 square feet of space. The expansion, which is set to be completed in 2020, will be 38,000 square feet. The company supplies magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, materials feeding, screen- ing, conveying, controlling, fluid recycling, and flotation equipment for various industries. Lorenz Conveying Products celebrates 40 years Lorenz Conveying Products Corp., Cobourg, ON, celebrated its 40-year anniversary in 2019. Founded in 1979, the company began by selling the patented Lorenz Clamp under the company name Lorenz & Son out of a home garage.
