This trade show serves as the annual meeting for the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), a non-governmental organization that represents pharmacy and pharma- ceutical sciences worldwide. The goal of the conference is to pro- vide pharmaceutical professionals and students the opportunity to net- work, compare best practices, and learn about the latest pharmaceutical sciences trends. This year's program will cover key challenges in drug discovery, devel- opment, and optimal use at the indi- vidual and population levels. Educa- tional sessions are divided into four tracks: novel concepts (from diseases to clinical candidates), advanced strategies (challenges of optimal manufacture and delivery), effective translation (from predictive experi- mental models to optimized clinical studies), and societal impact (devel- oping context-appropriate solu- tions). There will also be multidis- ciplinary sessions that cover infor- mation-based technologies, global health, new collaborative models, and workforce development. Young Scientist Satellite Conference On May 22-23, the congress will also host the Young Scientist Satel- lite Conference. Prior to the main conference, PhD students, post-doc- toral fellows, and new professors will have the opportunity to meet, dis- cuss, and present their research at oral sessions, poster sessions, and workshops. Topics covered include scientific writing strategies, oral com- munication strategy, career devel- opment, appropriate statistical test usage, and mental health.
