CONTINUING RECIPIENTS: • Sophie Catlin is studying nursing at Illinois State University. • Sarah Gehres is working toward a PhD in physical therapy at the Universit y of Evansville. • Anna Haugen is majoring in communicative disorders at the Universit y of Alabama (Tuscaloosa). • Taylor Helenthal is majoring in dietetics at the Universit y of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. • Camryn Menacher is studying nursing at Millikin University. • Kendal Pokorny is majoring in food and nutrition at the Universit y of Alabama. FIRS T-TIME RECIPIENTS: • Kenneth David Alexander is studying biomedical engineering at Arizona State Universit y. • Hannah Car ter is in the Radiolog y Technician program at Parkland College. • Abigail Elston is majoring in communication disorders and sciences. • Tracy Pokorny is working toward a master's degree in nursing, with an emphasis in education, at Western Governors Universit y. • Josiah Ratts is studying nursing at the University of Michigan. • Jarron Roy is majoring in bioengineering at the Universit y of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. • Sydney Walker is a nursing major at Missouri Baptist Universit y. Sports Physical School Donations Kirby helped local students star t their season off right by providing affordable spor ts physicals last summer. $20 from each physical was donated to the student's school or athletic club. We were thrilled with our student turnout and made donations to the following schools: • Arcola School District #306: $20 • Argenta-Oreana School: $20 • Arthur Christian School: $20 • Arthur CUSD #305: $120 • Bement School Athletic Program: $300 • Blue Ridge High School: $20 • Cerro Gordo High School: $340 • Champaign Central High School: $20 • Deland-Weldon School: $120 • Eureka College: $20 • Mahomet-Seymour High School: $20 • Monticello Athletics Boosters: $2,080 • Mt. Zion High School: $60 • St. Teresa High School: $20 • Tri-City CUSD 1: $40 • Unity School: $20 Thomas Dixon Memorial Scholarship Recipients The Kirby Auxiliar y provides the Thomas Dixon Memorial Scholarships annually to area students who have an interest in pursuing a career in a medical field. The Auxiliar y presented scholarships totaling $49,700 for the 2019-2020 academic year. 13
