In previous years, the show has been one of the largest international bulk solids handling and process- ing events, and organizers are working to adapt the show to the current climate. "POWTECH visitors and exhib- itors wanted to have a platform for dialogue this year, despite or precisely because of all the upheav- als," says Beate Fischer, POWTECH 2020 exhibition director, "At the same time it was clear that the basis for conducting POWTECH as a major international trade fair this year was lacking. Our concept for the POWTECH Special Edi- tion takes both these aspects into account. We are creating a compact event with a distinct focus on tech- nical presentations and targeted dialogue. The POWTECH Special Edition will bring the necessary safety and required utility value under one roof." POWTECH Special Edition will feature expert forums in two exhi- bition halls featuring a variety of exhibitors covering every step of the bulk solids handling process. Exhi- bition halls will have two stages for experts and exhibitors to present technology to visitors, both on-site and online via streaming. Speakers will address questions and solu- tions pertaining to the chemical, recycling, building, nonmetallic mineral, pharmaceutical, and food industries. All presentations will be recorded for an online audience. This compacted show will have added safety measures to help protect attendees from COVID- 19, including limiting the number of attendees each day, additional hand sanitizer stations, and requir- ing masks. Visitors are advised to practice social distancing and must purchase tickets ahead of time as no tickets will be sold at the door. "With the POWTECH Special Edition, our online content on www. powtech.de, and, last but not least, our international POWTECH World events, we are providing a service as the 'No. 1 dialogue platform' for the powder and bulk solids commu- nity — even in these difficult times as we continue to bring together
