Replacement tablet tooling
Replacement tooling fits all tablet presses. Punches and dies
can be coated using galvanic chrome, physical vapor depo-
sition, chromium nitride, titanium nitride, and diamond-like
carbon to resist wear better, decrease friction, minimize
punch seizure, increase corrosion resistance, and minimize

Dwell-prolonging punch
XDF punch has elliptical head that increases dwell time by
as much as 50 percent compared to standard punch heads.
Tooling works with standard cams and fits any tablet press
without need for modification—such as increasing punch
size—and may enable you to avoid capital outlay for addi-
tional tablet press. Size B punch with elliptical head provides
more dwell than conventional D punch. Head shape enables
you to run press faster when handling difficult formulations.
It also improves tablet compaction and cohesion. In addition
to punches and dies, company offers stand-alone IH-TMS
tool management system that monitors tool rotation, inven-
tory, and maintenance; system complies with 21 CFR part 11.
