Top to bottom, from L-R:
Every day is different when
you are caring for 12 lions!
Here is how Quinny and the
team usually spend their day.
KEEPER TALK
Quinny and the team deliver
the daily Lion Keeper Talk at
11.30am, answering lots of
questions from interested
zoo visitors.
LION TRAINING
The lions receive individually
tailored training programs
with their keepers which
is great for enrichment
purposes but also to help
foster a relationship between
the lions and keepers.
OFFICE WORK
Quinny and the team
maintain detailed records
about the lion pride, their
health and their daily
behaviours.
CLEANING UP
Keeping the lions' den
clean is really important to
maintaining great health for
the lion pride.
FOOD PREP
Lions are fed meat every few
days and on these feed days,
the keepers track the exact
amount of food as part of
each meal to ensure the lions
stay healthy and conditioned.
