This presentation will ex- plore emerging mobility-related tech- nologies and the challenges and oppor- tunities they present to coatings manufacturers. The second keynote, "IIoT + ECOAT = What?" will be pre- sented by Matt Kirchner of profit360 on Thursday. The fourth industrial rev- olution (Industry 4.0) is well underway, and this presentation will demystify the revolution and offer coaters common sense, practical steps to begin the jour- ney into the future. Following the keynote addresses each day will be a variety of concurrent ses- sions to choose from on such topics as: Taking the Next Step in Electrocoat Film Build Efficiency, Increasing Line Speed: A Chemist and Engineer's View, and Powder Over Ecoat: An Applica- tor's Perspective. A complete listing of conference sessions can be found on the show's website. New this year is the ECOAT Boot Camp, which will be offered in two ses- sions. Boot Camp 101 will be held all day Tuesday, April 24, the day before the show. For those new to ecoat or who could use a refresher, this camp will pre- pare you for two days of technical pre- sentations and panel discussions. Learn the basics of the technology, equip- ment, process stages, and material han- dling involved in the process. Boot Camp 201 will be held in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 25. These sessions will build on the basic learnings of ECOAT Boot Camp 101, with discus- sions of ecoat processes, testing, mainte- nance, and contamination avoidance. Exhibition On Wednesday night, supplier compa- nies will set up and host exhibit salons to showcase their products and services, including equipment, chemicals, paint, ancillary components, and finishing ap- plications. Several tabletop exhibits will also be presented. These company- sponsored exhibits will offer varying de- grees of themes, entertainment, and de- licious food and drinks. After a full day of conference programming, get ready to wind down and enjoy the fun and ca- maraderie that accompany this special exhibition evening. Special events Additional special events at ECOAT18 will include a welcome reception as well as an industry awards banquet. The banquet will recognize and honor the industry contributions of dedicated in- dividuals. Attendees are treated to a for- mal plated lunch, after which recipients of the Best End-User Paper and George E.F. Brewer awards are announced and presented with awards. A leadership breakfast will be offered on Wednesday, April 25, at 7:30 a.m. Business executives and managers will have the opportunity to mingle over breakfast and discuss topics and trends of interest. Michael Guckes, chief economist for Gardner Intelligence, will present the financial outlook for major end markets affecting the elec- trocoating industry. Profitability fore- casts for the automotive, aerospace, and other industries will also be discussed, along with some end-market trends that will impact your future. PC Show information Location. ECOAT18 will be held at the Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort, 36750 US Hwy. 19 N, Palm Harbor, FL 34683. Set on 900 wooded acres, the resort is eas- ily accessible from either the Tampa International or St. Pete-Clearwater International Airports. Hotel. Rooms at the Innisbrook Resort are $180 for single or dou- ble occupancy, with a $20 fee for each additional person. The venue is home to four championship golf courses situated on a campus style resort with rooms, the conference sessions, and restaurants all onsite.
