22 POWDER COATING, March 2018 T he electrocoating industry's premier event is headed back to Florida and promises to deliver answers for issues facing today's e- coaters and manufacturers. ECOAT18, the Electrocoat Association's biennial show, will be held April 24-26 at the In- nisbrook Golf & Spa Resort in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. The biggest innovators in the electrocoating indus- try will convene to discuss their front- and-foremost interest: How electrocoat technology can enhance their products and save them money. This two-day event will allow attendees to learn about the basics, trends, and emerging technologies of e-coating and interact with the industry's leading ex- perts. Attendees will include custom coaters, captive shop finishers, engi- neers, distributors, line operators, busi- ness executives, managers, and senior level decision makers who want to im- prove their systems and products or learn more about incorporating electro- coat into their businesses. ECOAT18 promises to deliver a pro- gram that allows attendees to hear from top industry experts via a robust lineup of keynote and technical presentations, participate in interactive panel discus- sions, customize their conference expe- rience with a selection of afternoon learning stations, and meet with indus- try suppliers during an evening of ex- hibit hospitality. Education The ECOAT18 conference program addresses the e-coating process and technology presented through group sessions and panels, learning stations, and technical presentations. The three panel discussions will be "Pretreatment and Paint Considera- tions for Processing Mixed Metals and S u b s t r a t e s , " m o d e r a t e d b y J o h n Zbiegien, PPG Industries; "Considera- tions When Adding Ecoat To Your Plant," moderated by David Myers, Modine Manufacturing Co.; and "Overcoming Challenges of OEM Corrosion Specifications," moderated by Joe Whitesell, BASF Corp. There will be two keynote presenta- tions. The first, "Major Evolving Trends in the Coatings Industry and SHOW PREVIEW Score a hole in one at ECOAT18 Grab your golf clubs and head to Florida to attend the only event focused on all aspects of electrocoating.
