POWDER COATING, March 2018 13 F ollowing its largest and most successful show in 2016, the American Coatings Association (ACA) will be hosting the sixth install- ment of its biennial coatings show this s p r i n g . T h e A m e r i c a n C o a t i n g s SHOW and CONFERENCE 2018 will be held April 9-12 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. The event will offer a complete portfolio for the production of high- grade, competitive coatings, paints, sealants, construction chemicals, and adhesives. With a focus on designing in- novation strategies for the future, this year's show celebrates the industry's ca- pacity to creative strategies designed to integrate customer needs, break down performance barriers, incorporate sus- tainability considerations, and more. T h e 2 0 1 6 s h o w d r e w m o r e t h a n 9,100 attendees as well as 559 ex- hibitors that displayed their products on 130,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Attendees came to source infor- mation about state-of-the-art develop- ments in raw materials, lab and pro- d u c t i o n e q u i p m e n t , t e s t i n g a n d measuring equipment, and services for the coatings industry. Once again, this year's show promises to set the trend for future developments in the paint and coatings industry. Not only will it offer the latest information about an extensive range of products, the event will also bring together top coatings development decision-makers for a high-level exchange of informa- tion. Education More than 1,000 coatings profession- als will gather at the American Coat- ings CONFERENCE to present re- cent developments in coatings science, to debate, and to inform. Topics covered in the conference will i n c l u d e a r c h i t e c t u r a l c o a t i n g s , polyurethanes, radiation curing, mea- suring and testing, novel materials, wood coatings, bio-based coatings, protective coatings, and more.
