HRO Today Forum Europe Preview The Innovators This year's iTalent competitors seek to leverage technology to improve HR processes. By Audrey Roth The 2013 HRO Today Forum iTalent Europe Contest aims to recognise companies that have gone above and beyond by developing HR, recruiting, or talent management technology. These innovations range from all-inclusive HR databases to the next generation of video interviewing, and everything in between. There are new technological developments popping up daily; companies cannot afford to fall between the cracks. The top 10 finalists for this year's iTalent Competition on 13 November in London are not going to be left behind and this list will tell you why. Who: Fairsail What: The Fairsail Global HRIS and Collaboration Portal's cloud-based solution intersects access to benefits, human capital management, pay, pensions, recruitment, and vacation and absence on a social media-like interface for global organisations. The collaboration portal supports multiple currencies, multiple languages, and multiple regulations, making participating organisations legally compliant and accessible for all employees worldwide. This allows employers and HR departments access to comprehensive HR analytics. The Buzz: With its more than 100 customers worldwide, it's no wonder that Fairsail is the first U.K.-based product listed on compareHRIS.com. Who: Cahootify What: Cahootify specialises in helping employers find inperson freelancers and directs freelancers to projects. Just another freelance finder, right? Wrong. As a recruiter, you can fulfill multiple roles at once, and as a freelancer, you can find opportunities and build credibility by posting results of past projects and developing a reputation on your profile. Plus it's free for independent freelancers, leading employers to a much larger pool to choose from. Built by WorkDigital, this cloudbased service allows organisations to upload previously inadequate candidate information then run it through its system and utilise web crawlers to find identity matches. FreshUp then updates the client database with new company names, job titles, locations, skills, interests, and potentially even their new salaries. The Buzz: FreshUp won the award for Top Innovator in Social Data at DataWeek 2013, and recently sponsored the Internet Retailing Awards. Who: Joberate What: Joberate's intelligent intuition tool Signal has the ability to advise organisations when to make an offer to sought-after talent. All companies have to do is bookmark the social media profiles of candidates they are interested in. Signal tracks online behaviour and it can recognise the types of candidates that are right for your company. It's an up-todate candidate relationship management tool that monitors the most important changes in the online behaviour of who your company wants to keep tabs on. The Buzz: Joberate was a finalist for the Best Innovation Award for the 2013 National Online Recruitment Awards. Who: PathMotion What: If employees are central to attracting talent, why not let recruiters use this to their advantage? PathMotion's
