finishing strong11 As a senior, Jenna Kubesch retired the first 27-consecutive batters against East Carolina and carried a perfect game into the ninth in the 2007 C-USA Tournament. After giving up a leadoff home run in the first game of the day against Tulsa, Kubesch threw 15 and 2/3 innings of hitless softball before allowing ECU its first hit in the ninth. In one day, Kubesch threw 16 innings and allowed two runs on four hits. The Weimar, Texas native helped Memphis make its first tournament by winning the final six games of the regular season.
