The Latvian will strive to reach his first NCAA Championships in 2011 after being a regional qualifier last season. Pujats isn’t the only talent who will be soaring through the air for Memphis. Junior Jerome Leslie was also a Regional qualifier last season in the high jump and will look to soar for the Tigers again this season. The women’s squad also has a bevy of talented jumpers, with sophomore Kirsten Berding and freshman Laura Toldy forming a solid duo in the high jump, while sophomore Alyssa Northcutt and transfer Janelle Mason look to reach new heights in the pole vault.
