In a dramatic finish, Memphis clinched its fourth-straight C-USA Championship title with a 1-0 victory against regular-season champion UCF in the championship match at UCF's Soccer Complex. Memphis junior Melissa Smith scored with just 55 seconds remaining on the clock to give the Tigers (15-3-3) the automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
Vendula Strnadova, who led Memphis with six shots in the match, earned C-USA Tournament Offensive MVP honors and Lizzy Hildebrandt and Lizzy Simonin joined Kuhar-Pitters and Strnadova on the C-USA All- Tournament Team.
With the victory, the Lady Tigers made a fourth-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
