The animals are fed numerous times throughout the day which requires Mark and the team to take the ute out onto the savannah to scatter their food around and to make sure everyone gets something to eat! "The best part about working with these animals is getting to know their individual personalities. They all have interesting characters but I definitely couldn't pick a favourite! It would be wrong to choose!" Mark says. "Being out here at dusk during the spring and summertime is really special, it's a time when the animals are a bit more active than normal. Just like us humans, the animals on the savannah enjoy the warm nights too." Keeper Mark is part of a team of Zoo Keepers assigned to the savannah round at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
