Thermal dryer suitable for hemp, cannabis
processing with shortened drying times
WaveMix cannabis thermal dryer offers moisture
reduction in hemp flowers from 77 percent to 9 percent
in 45 minutes. Dryer also offers tetrahydryocannabinol
(THC) content remediation by 0.1 percent, change in
cannabidiol (CBD) content of 0.46 percent, and change
in total terpenes of 1.52 percent. Dryer uses a combina-
tion of microwave energy and vacuum technology to
deliver shortened drying times that provide cannabis
processors various benefits, including terpene profile
retention, high CBD content per pound of hemp, tight
temperature control, low-temperature drying, mois-
ture content uniformity in materials post-drying, and
a high degree of batch repeatability. Dryer handles vol-
umes of 600 to 3,000 pounds with four different models
available for cannabis and hemp applications. Dryer
has been validated for hemp drying by Analytical 360,
an independent analysis laboratory specializing in
hops, hemp, and cannabis.
