58 / March 2020 powderbulk.com Rotary knife mill size- reduces material without overgrind or excessive fines Definer KM series rotary knife mill performs fine particle size reduc- tion and delivers uniform particle size distribution with available capacities from 125 to 5,000 lb/h or more depending on the application. Mill employs high-shear knives that quickly and efficiently cut solids to the desired output size without overgrind or excessive fines. Mill is suitable for various materials, including hemp, spices, cannabis, and others. Mill reduces high vol- umes of material while minimizing heat rise and material overwork typically associated with conven- tional processing equipment, such as hammermills. Franklin Miller, Livingston, NJ 973-535-9200 www.franklinmiller.com Brush-style conveyor belt cleaner available in smaller size Brush-style conveyor belt cleaner is a smaller version of an older model. Device's drive assembly and belt guard assembly are reduced in size from the standard heavy- duty version. Device is effective on various carry-back materials, such as fines. Device uses an electric motor to drive a helical-shaped, open-face brush to remove buildup from the conveyor belt. Device's hanger rail mounting and oversized width allows for field customiz- able mounting on most conveyors. Device can be mounted under the head pulley to direct excess mate- rial into the discharge stream. Device's brush is self-cleaning and won't clog or load and can have nylon (or optional polypropylene) bristles, which are durable, long lasting, and easy to replace.
