Candidates should have a well-developed teaching and research record and a PhD in a relevant discipline. The appointee will be expected to undertake undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience teaching within the School of Management, supervise postgraduate research students, and develop a strong research programme in keeping with the School's emphasis on high-quality scholarship. Director MBA The School of Management seeks to appoint a Director of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme. Candidates should have a tertiary qualification (preferably a MBA or higher) and appropriate academic and/or business experience. The role of the Director is to provide strategic leadership and financial management for the School's post-experience programmes, in particular the MBA, and the associated diplomas and certificate programmes and to successfully identify opportunities to grow and develop the programmes and to provide leadership in driving new opportunities and the development of effective relationships with all external stakeholders in New Zealand and overseas. The Director will also play a key role in providing academic leadership to the programme and therefore in enhancing the programme's international reputation as a leader in post-experience business education. The successful candidate may be required to teach on the programme. This role is a great opportunity for a business academic with an interest in moving in to a Programme Director role or a person with significant appreciation of business education. The role requires energy, ideas, and professional credibility to further develop and grow the very well established, and internationally accredited (AMBA) MBA Programme and the other post- experience programmes. An ability to grow the School's interface with post- experience alumni, relevant professional and practitioner communities is required.
