Liquid fillers and band sealers
Fluidocap line of liquid-filling and band-sealing equipment fills hard capsules with
delicate formulations, including lipid-based products, high-viscosity pastes, and
waxy products, then seals them with gelatin strip to provide oxygen barrier, prevent
leakage, and make tampering evident. Lab-scale Fluidocap 1000 (photo) fills and
seals as many as 3,000 capsules per hour. Automatic commercial-scale equipment
fills and seals as many as 70,000 capsules per hour.

Anti-leak capsules
Embo Caps LP+ two-piece capsules—
manufactured on unique mold pins that
reduce cap-body clearance—have four
dimples on groove of cap lock capsule to
prevent separation. Capsules minimize
leaks of liquids, fine powders, hot melts,
heavy slurry products, and other fills that
are difficult for softgels. Company offers
three types: LP+ VG capsules made
from HPMC; LP+ Fish for marine-
derived omega-3 formulations or those
that require low oxygen permeability;
and LP+ PEG (polyethylene glycol) cap-
sules for hygroscopic formulations.
