E WERE VERY MOVED WHEN WE HEARD HOW A RECENT BIBLE STUDY was used by Ministry Leader Junior Zapata to explain an important biblical distinction to Guatemalan national leaders. is is Pastor Zapata's letter: Dear Ralph, I have just finished reading your Bible study on anger (Benefitting and Unbefitting Anger in Office) and it came at the right time. I have been talking with our new President and some of his inner circle staff about the difference between "vengeance" and "justice." Right now there is a lot of anger over the way previous administrations governed. Understandably, our new President, his staff, and the Guatemalan people are incredibly angry over the years of deep corruption that led to hunger, poverty, illnesses, and the deaths of men, women, and children om something as simple as basic medical supplies in public hospitals that were not supplied. Many in our country will not forgive and are out for blood. In our conversations, I am explaining to the President and his office that we should be morally angry that these former officials turned their back on God's law, and that as a result, our people suffered, but I also explained that we should seek justice and not vengeance. It is an important distinction that Christians need to understand. ank you for your Bible study on anger. You never know who will read your studies and how far your ministry can reach.
