44 CM 20th | Bible Studies UNDAMENTAL TO MAKING DISCIPLES IN THE POLITICAL ARENA is teaching the Word of God. It is the irreducible minimum in effective ministry. e question becomes how best to deliver the Word of God to busy Public Servants. From the beginning, Capitol Ministries has believed that the best way to accomplish that goal is through the written Bible study. We believe in an exegetical study, one that examines one book of the Bible at a time, verse by verse, which could take a year or more to complete. e word exegesis comes from the Greek word exegeisthai, which means to explain or to interpret. Unfolding like rich history lessons, these Bible studies are delivered in person by experienced Ministry Leaders, many of whom are pastors with Seminary training. e studies contain historical facts about the people, customs, and societies that existed in biblical times, and to ensure that a correct interpretation is reached, the context of the verses is studied, and the meanings of the original Greek words of the New Testament and the Hebrew words of the Old Testament are researched. In addition to the studies that Ministry Leaders deliver in person to Legislators, Capitol Ministries offers 52 in-depth, four-color illustrated Bible studies that look at today's issues with a Biblical perspective. We believe that there is nothing in today's society that the Bible does not address, and so equipping Public Servants with a biblical point of view is critical in helping them make difficult political decisions. Starting from Scripture, we offer studies that investigate the controversial issues of our time including war, large government benefit programs, illegal immigration, deficit spending, tax F Faith comes om hearing and hearing W ITH OUR NEWLY DEVELOPED CapApp, a visitor to our website may read a Bible study or download it in PDF form in four languages.
