2010 memphis fall review 36 | 2011 MEMPHIS WOMEN’S TENNIS EXPERIENCE The U of M kicked off the tournament portion of the 2010-11 campaign by hosting the Memphis Collegiate Invitational at The Racquet Club of Memphis. From there, the squad went on to compete at the Roberta Alison Classic, June Stewart Invitational, Ohio Valley Regionals and closed out the season at the Midwest Blast. Overall, the Lady Tigers tallied several wins in singles and doubles throughout the fall slate and gained valuable match experience, something that is essential for the young group. The season was topped-off by Collins and newcomer Stefanie Mikesz receiving the first-ever bids in program history to compete at the All-American Championships as well as Collins’ upending of ranked players in No. 118 Alex Clay of Alabama and No. 123 Vanja Tomic of Austin Peay.
