2009 highlights Tiger volleyball continued a tradition of academic excellence in 2009 as the program hauled in its sixth consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award. CHRISTINE BACH was named to the /CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Second Team. Bach, who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in international business in May, 2009 and owns a 4.0 GPA while studying toward a master’s in business administration, earned ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV First Team accolades in 2008 and is the first Memphis volleyball player to earn the academic recognition in multiple years since Heather Watts did so from 2002-04.
