The former site of the Memphis Open (now called the FedEx St. Jude Classic), Colonial Country Club serves as the primary home golf course for the University of Memphis. Established in 1913, Colonial offers two 18-hole courses and extensive practice facilities, including a driving range, two putting greens and a short game practice area. Colonial South Course has Bermuda fairways and Champion Bermuda greens and the North Course has Zoysia fairways and Emerald Bermuda greens.
