Memphis' gutsy, fiſth-place finish at the NCAA Bowling Green Regional earned them one of 30 spots in the NCAA Championships held at historic Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. It was the Tigers' third NCAA appearance in the last five years and first NCAA Championships trip since 1988. Jonathan Fly led Memphis with a tournament total of 223 as the Tigers finished 28th. Competing at the championships for Memphis were Fly, Jack Belote, Steve Lee, Will Pearson and Grant Milner.
