In 1954, Memphis Tigers golfer Hillman Robbins put together a season that is still legendary in the Mid-South. The Memphis native won 13 tournaments during his four seasons and ended his collegiate career by capturing the 1954 NCAA Championship. A four-man team consisting of Robbins, Ronnie Wenzler, Bill Garner and Mason Rudolph competed in the NCAA Tournament held in Houston, Texas.
