Throughout the 2011-12 season, the Tigers made several appearances in the national rankings, rising as high as No. 36 following a second-place finish at the Memphis Intercollegiate. Aſter a 28th-place showing at the NCAA Championships, Memphis ranked No. 39 in the final Golfstat season rankings.
The U of M saw a significant improvement from the 2010-11 campaign during which they finished No. 64 by Golfstat aſter a trip to the NCAA Central Regional.
