F THE APOSTLE PAUL WAS SPREADING THE GOSPEL IN THE 21ST CENTURY, it is likely that he would travel to Washington, D.C. to reach U.S. Congressmen for Christ. For, even though our nation's Capitol was founded and built by people of faith, current policies, practices, and legislation have failed to reflect the biblical precepts that are its foundation. Exasperated and discouraged at our nation's downward trajectory, many Christians refuse to participate in politics completely while others have become involved in organized lobbying efforts to pressure Lawmakers for legislative changes. Capitol Ministries looks to the Bible for our methodology. Scripture says to take the Word of God, not complaints about government, to our nation's leaders. Following the example set by the Apostle Paul, we established a ministry in Washington, D.C. to influence the influencers with the Gospel. We have been taking the Word of God to our nation's leaders since 2010 when the first D.C. ministry was established to Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. A separate ministry was planted in 2015 for U.S. Senators. Today the ministries are endorsed by 68 Congressmen. Ralph teaches separate Members Bible Studies to U.S. Senators and Representatives. ese exegetical studies examine one book of the Bible at a time, verse by verse over the course of a year or more. ey are lively studies with much dialogue where time is spent discussing the context of the Scriptures, and defining the original Greek and Hebrew words so the meanings are clear.
