The Club Par tner s with Luxur y Designer Luciano Barbera B Y B R E T T W I L B U R L ongtime retailers Todd and Carol Tice, who opened The Club on Ocean Avenue almost 12 years ago, just opened a third Carmel store, The Luciano Barbera Club, in partnership with Italian menswear designer Luciano Barbera. The elegant new store is in the historic La Rambla building on Lincoln Street, just off Ocean Avenue, and is designed "to feel like an extension of a gentleman's closet." CEO Todd Barrato says the decision to choose Carmel as the site of Luciano Barbera's first North American store is due to a longtime asso- ciation with the Tices, the location and the build- ing. The brand is set apart by its "authenticity." "Luciano Barbera is 100 percent, entirely made in Italy," Barrato says. "Luciano Barbera stands for understated elegance and offers great quality, fit and value. It is our goal to make every man feel comfortable and unique in their own personal style." Barrato says the brand focuses on "details, twist of yarns, color, consistency and perfect fit." "We pride ourselves in our selection of high- quality brands and unique items for the sophisti- cated shopper," Todd Tice adds. "We continuous- ly strive to offer a shopping experience unlike any other, and we look forward to enhancing that experience with Luciano Barbera."
