The student will develop skills in eight functional areas: Introduction to Law Enforcement, Law and Legal Matters, Patrol Procedures, Traffic Control, Crime Scene Management, Community and Police Relations, Report Writing, and Police Proficiency Skills. At the conclusion of this program the student will have completed all requirements of the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AzPOST) Board standards established to certify police officers in the State of Arizona. ADMISSION CRITERIA Must meet AzPOST minimum requirements for a law enforcement officer and meet any physical requirements by the Academy Director.
