AHPA Botanical Congress On the last day of the trade show, the American Herbal Prod- ucts Association's (AHPA) Botani- cal Congress will take place from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The summit SupplySide West—a trade show that provides educational and net- working resources for professionals in the dietary supplement, food, beverage, personal care and sports nutrition industries—takes place October 15-19 in Mandalay Bay Hotel, Las Vegas, NV. Organizers anticipate more than 1,300 exhibi- tors and 17,000 attendees from the health and nutrition industry. Education The conference will feature more than 140 hours of education and train- ing sessions, workshops, and summits. On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16, NSF Interna- tional will hold a 2-day training course on cGMPs in manufacturing, packaging, labeling, or holding operations for dietary supplements. The course provides an in-depth review of the 21 CFR 111 GMPs regulation and provides case studies to review recent FDA warning letters sent to dietary supplement compa- nies for non-compliance. The work- shop is geared toward dietary sup- plement technical professionals involved in manufacturing, manage- ment, packaging and labeling, sup- ply and distribution, QC/QA, labo- ratory operations, auditing, and regulatory affairs and compliance. Attendees can also choose from several one-day NSF workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday. Topics include the Food Safety Modern- SupplySide West a preview Natural products trade show to host NSF GMP workshops will focus on educating dietary sup- plement ingredient suppliers and manufacturers on regulatory com- pliance. Other topics that will be covered include political advocacy, financial trends and opportunities shaping the supplements industry, sustainability, and regulatory and scientific focus on cannabis, CBD, and hemp.
