2009-10 review C-USa East Division Sweeps Memphis had its best-ever season in the East Division of Conference USA last season, sweeping regular season meetings with UCF, Southern Miss and Marshall. The wins over Marshall were the first-ever for the program since the Thundering Herd joined C-USA and the wins over UCF and Southern Miss were especially impressive since that duo played for the C-USA Championship the prior season. Memphis played on the road to open the league schedule, playing at UCF, then at Southern Miss to get a leg up on the East Division rivals.
