national honors < NSCAA All-Central Region TeamSince 2003, 12 Lady Tigers have been honored as National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Central Region Team award winners. The NSCAA has recognized the performance of women’s soccer student-athletes that played significant roles on their team.Ashley Berra became the first Lady Tiger to earn NSCAA All-American honors in 2009. The forward posted 15 goals and eight assists, helping Memphis to a third-straight Conference USA Championship. The 2009 season saw the Lady Tigers claim a program best four NSCAA All-Central Region Team honors with Kelsey Bakker, Vendula Strnadova, Ashley Berra and Elise Kuhar-Pitters earning the accolades. Strnadova has earned NSCAA All-Central Region honors all three seasons as a Lady Tiger while Bakker collected the award for the second-straight season in 2009. CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-AmericaThe University of Memphis women’s soccer program has had 13 student-athletes honored for their work in the classroom. CoSIDA and ESPN The Magazine have recognized student-athletes throughout women’s soccer who have posted a 3.30 grade-point average or higher. Three Lady Tigers, including current senior Vendula Strnadova, have been honored at the highest level as CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Americans.
