As a freshman, Kala Funderburk set
two program records (400m, 53.76;
4x400m, 3:37.45) and qualified for
the NCAA East Preliminaries in two
events (400m, 4x400m). In outdoor
competition, Funderburk took two
first-place finishes at the Memphis
Invitational (400m, 53.76) and Sea
Ray Relays (400m, 53.97).
In indoor competition, Vivian
Haynes set a personal best in the
high jump, clearing 1.68m (5-06.00)
at the Arkansas State Kickoff Klassic
and taking third place. Haynes
recorded a point at the Conference
USA Outdoor Championships, tying
for seventh in the high jump (1.65m,
5-05.00).

Laura Hill set a personal
best in the 3000m during
the indoor season, running
a time of 11:32.50 at the Rod
McCravy Memorial. In outdoor
competition, Hill recorded two
personal bests in the 800m
(2:40.80) and in the 1,500m
(5:24.93).
Sabrina Hochreuther scored three
top-five pole vault finishes during
the indoor season. She also scored
points with her fourth-place finish
(3.66m, 12-00.00) at the Conference
USA Indoor Championships. In
outdoor competition, Hochereuther
notched a first-place finish with a
vault of 3.65m (11-11.75) at the Joey
Haines Invitational.
During indoor season, Allison Hotz
set a new personal best and took
second place in the shot put with a
throw of 14.65m (48-00.75) at the
SEMO Redhawks Invitational. In
outdoor competition, Hotz notched
seven top-10 shot put finishes, with
her best a second-place finish at the
Joey Haines Invitational (14.34m,
47-00.75).

At the Conference USA Indoor
Championships, Britta Jaarats
scored points with her sixth-place
finish in the weight throw with a
season-best mark of 17.15m (5603.25). In outdoor competition,
Jaarats took bronze and All-C-USA
third team honors at the C-USA
Championships with a hammer
throw of 50.93m (167-01).
