Wisconsin Cheese Wins #FancyFoodBooth Contest T he Wisconsin Cheese booth, presented by Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, was named the winner of the 2019 Winter Fancy Food Show #FancyFoodBooth competition. To enter the contest, companies submitted a photo of their booth on the Specialty Food Association website and followed SFA on Instagram, where each entry was highlighted during the show. Each entry was judged by two third-party judges, who scored on a scale from one to 10, with 10 being the best score. The top 10 booths accumulated collective scores ranging from 17 to 20. The winning booth showcased 10 dairy companies, each with its own private sampling space. The showstopper, however, was a portion of the World's Largest Cheeseboard, which broke a Guinness World Record in August 2018. Though the entire 35-foot long board wasn't on display, the portion that was, caught the eyes of attendees and judges. "What a tremendous honor to receive this award among so many exceptional booths at one of the food industry's leading shows," says Suzanne Fanning, senior vice president for Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and chief marketing officer for Wisconsin Cheese. "Our booth was all about finding fun and fresh ways to showcase the delicious cheeses and innovative cheesemakers of Wisconsin. From our new branding spread throughout to our new commercial playing on a big video screen and, of course, our giant Guinness World Record breaking cheeseboard along with some of our favorite pairings, we were excited to let everyone know just why Wisconsin is 'The State of Cheese!'" Funded by Wisconsin dairy farmers, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization that focuses on marketing and promoting Wisconsin's world-class dairy products. The Wisconsin Cheese brand celebrates Wisconsin's 1,200 cheesemakers, many of whom are third- and fourth-generation, as they continue to pass on old- world traditions while adopting modern innovations in cheesemaking craftsmanship.
