Wells Enterprises Buys Fieldbrook Foods Wells Enterprises has acquired Fieldbrook Foods from Arbor Investments. Wells is an ice cream manufacturer whose portfolio of brands includes Blue Bunny along with a private-label and co-pack business. Fieldbrook is a private-label/contract manufacturer with plants in Dunkirk, N.Y. and Lakewood, N.J. The acquisition gives Wells an East Coast footprint and diversifies the company's ability to support customers geo- graphically. Together, Wells and Fieldbrook will have the capacity to produce about 200 million gallons of ice cream. FOUNTAIN OF HEALTH USA ACQUIRES CAMPBELL'S GARDEN FRESH Campbell Soup Co. has signed an agreement to sell Garden Fresh Gourmet to an affiliate of Fountain of Health USA, a maker of hummus, dips, variety packs, prepared salads, pates, and frozen desserts. Garden Fresh Gourmet makes, sells, and distributes salsa, hummus, dips, and tortilla chips both under the Garden Fresh Gourmet brand and private-label products. The business is located in Ferndale, Mich., and also has operations in Grand Rapids, Mich. Taylor Farms Adds Earthbound Farm to Retail Portfolio Taylor Farms has acquired Earthbound Farm from Danone SA. In a statement, Taylor Farms called the move an "opportunity to return ownership of this organic fresh produce leader to local roots and family ownership."
