The Human Resource function is focused on strategic innovations that have a strong business framework. Our focus over the Five Year Plan is to ensure we continue to provide transactional support needed for District Departments and advance those same services to be more impactful District-Wide. At the heart of our culture is the Pipeline (Workforce Partnership) and each focus area incorporates this partnership with employees as a critical junction on the five- year roadmap to success. The Human Resources Department is also committed to providing strong and effective leadership, to protecting and nourishing the culture so that employees understand the District's strategic plan and how they fit into that plan, to support and assist employees in learning and development and to ensure that all employees feel valued and included. While we view the organization clearly from a strategic level, we are dedicated to creating and developing Human Resource strategies that meet the changing needs of the organization, department by department. In addition to the strategic Human Resources functions, all employees have the right to work in a safe & healthy workplace. The District makes every effort to prevent accidents and preserve health by providing safety training & equipment as well as employee participation opportunities. Efforts are also focused on reducing distinct District exposures to property and liability hazards through early intervention of claims and identification and remediation of hazards before they become claims. Our main focus areas for this five year period are defined by seeing the bigger picture and understanding how the component parts work together to achieve successful outcomes. To that end, Human Resources has identified focus areas in which we have developed specific objectives & tactics intended to guide us to our goal. Workforce Management and Support
