NCAA West Regionals (32-11) 1976 NCAA TeamRON MERRITT DANNY PARKS Led by All-American and M Club Hall of Famer Ron McNeely, who was second in the nation with a .462 average, the Tigers blew through the regular season at 29-9, swept the inaugural Metro-6 baseball tournament and participated in the NCAA Rocky Mountain Regional Baseball Tournament in Tempe, Arizona. Memphis was ranked as high as fourth in the nation that season, finishing 22nd overall. As a team, Memphis hit .328, ninth nationally.
