Training provides an opportunity to reduce employee injuries both in severity and frequency and this ensures a safe workplace and adherence to regulatory safety compliance. With regards to security, the District continues to perform security assessments in an effort to continuously improve and develop improvement plans for critical facilities. The District cares about its employees and their welfare. Healthy, active lifestyles can help reduce the risk of chronic disease, increase one's sense of well-being and may lower annual health care costs. Additional priorities in this Plan will enhance the wellness and overall health of employees and their families. Efforts will also be made to encourage employees to become proactive advocates of their own health.
