NCAA East Regionals (48-11-1) 1981 NCAA TeamSHANE YOUNG Led by future major leaguer and M Club Hall of Famer Dave Anderson, the Tigers went 48- 11-1 on the way to yet another Metro Conference Championship appearance, which they lost to Florida State. Anderson hit .395 and led Memphis with 14 home runs and 61 RBI, and the Tigers went a remarkable 32-1 at home during the season. The Tigers earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, its second- ever at-large berth.
