While Fichelson is a native San Franciscan who spends vacations exploring Carmel and Big Sur, Bambace was born in New York and raised in Pebble Beach, where she attended Stevenson School. Like Fichelson, she has a savvy sense of style and a focused work ethic, and takes frequent trips to larger cities. She says the partnership with Fichelson is a great way to tap into the "hot market" of the Bay Area. "Our market is really strong, and we get a lot of great trickle-down from the Bay Area," Bambace says. "It gives a lot of life to our market. We aren't as crazy as the Bay Area, as we are a second home market, and everything is discretionary. We are not back to our peak [circa 2006], but we are really close to it. It's a good place where people feel good about their purchase." The ocean-view Carmel High- lands proper ty, located at 204 Upper Walden Road (just down the road from the Hyatt Carmel Highlands), is listed at $3,495,000 and offers four large bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a designer kitchen. The 5,825-square-foot home is constructed in an Old World style with large, open-flow rooms, and is situated on 1.25 acres with a luxu- rious patio that features an out- door kitchen, hot tub and fire pit looking out at the ocean. "It's a really private gated estate with a view on a huge lot," Fich- elson says. "You basically have your own park. It's a great price point. You get a lot more for your money than in Carmel." While Fichelson's lively personal- ity is amped up on the show, in- cluding during (possibly contrived) spats with other Realtors, with his clients, he's all business. "It's a great thing all around to be on the show," he says. "TV is a pow- erful medium and real estate is all about exposure. Big buyers approach me all the time out of the blue." This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home is 5,825 square feet and sits on 1.25 acres above the ocean. A gracious curving staircase fits into the Old World style of the home, which has large rooms and an open flow.
