Tiger senior defender Rick Alleman wrapped up his four-year career with the Tigers earning an All-C- USA second team nod after his performance as a central defender and team captain for Memphis during the 2009 season.
MEMPHIS AWARD WINNERS
Freshmen J.J. Greer, a local product from Cordova, Tenn., and Andreas Guentner, a transplant from Regensburg, Germany, also garnered honors from Conference USA. Greer, a forward for the Tigers, was selected to the All-Freshman team after netting one goal and dishing out five assists. Guentner, a versatile player that appeared in a variety of roles in the Tiger defense and in the midfield as a freshman, earned placement on the All-C-USA third team and on the All-Freshman team. The footballer known as “Kaiser” had two goals and one assist in his first year for the Blue and Gray.
