• At very low tide walk the mudflats at Town Beach out to Roebuck Bay and see the eerie remains of the Catalinas - Dutch Flying Boats bombed during World War II. • Sit back in a deck chair at the oldest operating outdoor picture gardens in the world. The building has been restored, but retains its 'knockabout' character with its weathered tin capturing the essence of 'old Broome'. • Reflect on the dangers of the early days of hard-hat diving at the Japanese and Chinese cemeteries. • Discover Broome's rich and startling past on an Aboriginal cultural tour. • Head 16kms out of town and view some of the largest crocodiles in captivity and other native Australian animals. • Feeling active? Venture 25km east of town to the shorebird capital of Australia, the Broome Bird Observatory. • Take a bus or walking tour of this fascinating town. • Jump on board a fishing charter. Take a cruise throughout Roebuck Bay observing the many species of marine life, including the very rare Snubfin Dolphin.
