• Have a round of golf at the appropriately named The Boabs Derby Golf Course and be challenged by these bulbous trees which act as obstacles and line the fairways. • Use Derby as your stepping off point to explore the Gibb River Road, just a few hours drive sees you in amazing gorge country. • Fly to the Horizontal Falls – where the massive tidal water movement rushes through two small channels to form horizontal waterfalls in Talbot Bay. • See the cattle trough that used to handle 500 bullocks at one time and was later extended to a length of 120 metres. Check out Myall's bore close by. • Visit the Centenary Pavilion, near the jetty, which depicts the geography and history of King Sound and the Port of Derby and features a colourful mosaic tile floor depicting facets of life in the district. • Go back to School! Visit the Kimberley School of the Air and see how classes for children on remote stations and communities are conducted.
