New Openings The Jean-Louis Pasta Shop has opened in Salem, Mass. The small store sells hand-piped pasta and gourmet ravioli, including Alaskan king crab and mascarpone ravioli and escargot Provencal with ricotta cheese ravioli, signature cooking oils and sauces. … New artisanal doughnut store Sidecar has opened in Costa Mesa, Calif., featuring gourmet flavors such as Ginger Snap, Huckleberry and Toasty Coconut Chocolate. The cafe also serves French-pressed coffee from Oregon roaster Stumptown. Sidecar developed a following for its gourmet doughnuts with public tasting events, promoted through Twitter, from its bakery van, a retro truck outfitted with wooden drawers. … New downtown Knoxville, Tenn., store The Tree and Vine sells estate olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar on tap. The owners store the oil in authentic fustes (storage vessels) to help retain the quality of their product, and they encourage customers to taste and create what suits their individual palates. The store also sells high-end cookware, wine carriers and house-made marinara sauce. … The new Beverly Hills, Calif., location of French gourmet market and cafe Monsieur Marcel boasts a contemporary feel and offers cheese, charcuterie, caviar and a 100-foot-long wall of wine and freshly baked croissants.
