On paper,
I was Jean's boss.
Although all who knew
Jean realized
that nobody really told
her what to do.
boss. Although all who knew Jean realized that nobody really told her what
to do.
Born Jean Welch in Buffalo, N.Y.,
in 1917, Jean moved to New York City
shortly after school. In 1947, she met
Paul Frame. The Frames had two
daughters, Melinda and Debbie.
Following her second retirement,
Jean lived in New York City until 2006.
She eventually moved to St. Simons
Island, Ga., to be near her daughter
Debbie. That's where she passed away
on December 18, 2012. Donations in
Jean's memory can be sent to Magnolia
Manor Nursing Home.
Jean was a friend and a mentor to
many of the pioneers in the specialty
food industry. She will be missed but
never forgotten. |SFM|
