The Elma Roane Fieldhouse is a home where the Tigers enjoyed a 15-2 record in 2011-12, including an unblemished non- conference record and a win over SMU in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Championships.
The building was renamed the Elma Roane Fieldhouse in honor of the program's first athletics director for women's sports, Elma Neale Roane, who passed way at age 93 in September. In addition to the main gym, the facility also houses support areas, including a weight room, a strength and conditioning center and a locker room facility complete with team lounge, video and shower and storage areas that recently underwent an over one million dollar renovation and opened in September of 2011. The building, located in the heart of the University of Memphis' main campus, provides everything the Tigers need to prepare for their on-the-court successes.
