Under Melissa McFerrin, the Tigers have turned it up a notch. The Tigers embraced the four-out, one- in offense in McFerrin's first three seasons, adding components of the dribble-drive in season four to give opponents a very athletic, up-tempo Tiger team to try to stop. The result was three straight seasons with 20 or more victories and a Tiger team that ranked ninth in school history with 126 three-point field goals made. On the defensive side, the Tigers pride themselves on man-to-man defense with some full and three-quarters court pressure, resulting in 388 steals in 2011-12, the fourth-highest total in school history.
