On the field, Memphis athletes continue to compete with the best in the nation. Among the recent highlights, the football team has gone to five bowl games since 2003, and the women's soccer team has won five-straight Conference USA Championships. The Tigers men's basketball team has reached the NCAA Sweet 16 in four of the last six seasons, and made the Elite Eight three times during the span. The baseball team received an invitation into the NCAA Tournament in 2007, while the soſtball team reached its first NCAA Regional in 2011. Men's golf earned its second invite in the past four years in 2011 and women's basketball earned a trip to the 2011 and 2012 WNIT. The men's soccer team won the C-USA Championship in 2004.
