The Tigers' theme heading in to the season was "Ready to March" and the team marched back in to post season play for a third consecutive season by earning the league's automatic bid to the WNIT following a 13-3 C-USA regular season finish. Aſter advancing to the WBI finals in 2010, the Tigers made their first WNIT bid since 2004 with a first round appearance in 2011. The program took one more step in 2012, winning their first round game over Chattanooga before falling at Missouri State in the second round. The 25 Tiger wins on the season were the most for the program since the 1981-82 season.
