When the school year starts each fall, the countdown begins - the countdown to Memphis Madness, an event that all Tigers fans eagerly anticipate. The Madness is held the Friday closest to Oct. 15 each fall, and is the Tigers´ celebration tip-off to the season. Fans are known to stand in line hours before the event to either snag a great seat or be the first in line at the players´ autograph tables. The past two Memphis Madness events have been beyond description with "shut-the-door" overflow crowds to see their Tigers hold the first practice of the season.
